Fighting Blindness
The feedback from Fighting Blindness supporters is that it is simple to set up a mycharity.ie page, they like being able to simply email their friends, family and colleagues to ask for sponsorship rather than the old method of having to ring people up and knock on doors, and they like not having to collect all the cash at the end of their fundraising event.
At Fighting Blindness we find the mycharity.ie method of fundraising a great help as we can track how our supporters are doing and the money goes directly into our bank account, reducing administration time and costs. We are encouraging all our trekkers to use mycharity.ie as an easy way to collect their sponsorship money and are already seeing great results Hilary Makin, Communications Manager |

The Friends of St Luke’s Hospital
The Friends of St Luke’s Hospital have been delighted with the increase in fundraising activities through the mycharity.ie website. Over the past year we have had many fundraiser signing up and getting their sponsorship monies online.
We have found the site very easy to use and many of our fundraisers have commented on how simple it was to set up and maintain their fundraising page. It is great that they can have their own webpage and email the link to their friends and family and everyone can keep track of how much they have raised and how near they are to their target amount. Donating to an event is as easy as inputting your credit card details.
We, as the charity receive an email giving details and we can keep track of all funds raised by each individual. The Friends of St Luke’s would recommend this website to all potential fundraisers as an easy way to obtain your sponsorship monies be it for the Women’s Mini Marathon, Dublin City Marathon, a sponsorship Parachute Jump, a Sponsored Walk or any type of fundraising event.
We look forward to continuing with this great initiative and hope many of our fundraisers will create their own fundraising pages in the future. All monies raised go directly to benefit the patients, from all over the country, who attend St Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar for radiotherapy and other oncology services. Amnesty International
Amnesty International signed up with mycharity.ie in June 2006 and we are extremely happy with the results from day one. The mycharity.ie team are extremely professional, efficient and pleasant to deal with. We have increased our fundraising income with little effort on our part since linking with mycharity.ie.
Our supporters like the ease with which they can raise sponsorship online and setting up their own personalised page takes only minutes. Many of our supporters raise sponsorship from family and friends overseas because it's so easy to donate online. The facility for sponsors to leave comments gives supporters an added morale boost - and a few laughs! From our point of view, tracking income and supporters is simple and effective. We simply encourage our supporters to use the mycharity.ie website and all income raised through sponsorship is sent to our bank at the start of every month. The benefits of linking with mycharity.ie far outweigh the modest fees and we highly recommend the mycharity.ie service to everyone.

Habitat for Humanity Ireland
Mycharity.ie has been a brilliant resource for Habitat for Humanity Ireland, taking the administrative time & hassle out of processing on-line and credit card payments. The most successful aspect of mycharity.ie is how simple and straightforward it is: volunteers can make their own web page with ease, their friends can donate conveniently and safely, and the money is processed directly into our account. For the fundraisers and the charity, this is a win-win solution which has assisted in increasing the donations we have received over the past twelve months. War Child Ireland
Prior to joining mycharity.ie War Child Ireland had no facility for taking on line donations. The user friendliness and value for money offered by mycharity.ie were very attractive to us and we are delighted with the levels of funds we have generated.
Being a voluntary organisation we have neither the time nor resources to manage donations as a result of our fundraising activities. Instead we drive all donations through our website and its online donation facility with mycharity.ie.
Fundraisers have been very positive about mycharity.ie – it has proved very easy to use and is reliable and uncomplicated.
The board of War Child Ireland is delighted with its decision last year to use mycharity.ie. It has greatly reduced our administrative burden and the management information available from the site is very useful.

Barretstown
Mycharity.ie has opened up a new and user-friendly fundraising channel for Barretstown. It is a great way of enabling our supporters to tap into their wider networks, both at home and abroad, whilst, at the same time, minimizing Barretstown’s overheads. Sarah Locke Fundraiser |

The Irish Lebanon Project
As a new affiliate of “My Charity”, the Irish Lebanon Project is in the early stages of accessing the benefits of been associated with such an organisation as My Charity.ie. I can safely say that we are extremely delighted NOT to have the headache of setting up a merchant account with all of its administration and on-going expense. My Charity eased the pressure of this task by providing us with the facility of taking credit card donations online without fuss. As an organisation who depends on the participation of volunteers and their fundraising, we are so pleased to have My Charity manage our fundraisers by providing them with their own webpage and their own facility of taking credit card donations through their web page as provided by My Charity. The My Charity Web Site has a very user friendly layout that makes it so easy for Charities and fundraisers alike to operate. We have had very favourable comments from our fundraisers on the facilities as provided by My Charity on their Site. Overall, I feel that our best move in 2007 was to sign up with My Charity. I sincerely believe that we have not realised all of the benefits that My Charity has to offer. Time will confirm how much of a work load has been taken off the Irish Lebanon Project by its association with www.mycharity.ie The Irish Lebanon Project thank My Charity.ie for its cooperation and assistance and we wish My Charity every success in the future in its assistance to other Charities. Micheál Mac Diarmada, Chief Project Coordinator, Irish Lebanon Project. |

The Irish Cancer Society
Since joining up to MyCharity.ie we have seen a significant increase in donations for lots of special occasions and fundraising events. We have recently signed up for another year at MyCharity.ie as it has been so successful to date. A very significant benefit for us is that money from all sponsorship goes directly into our bank account, so there are no overhead costs. It is also very easy to track income on a monthly basis via the website. With more people having access to the internet, the audience has been widened to capture as many people as possible, including people overseas. There are also lots of benefits for users of MyCharity.ie: • Fundraisers do not have the hassle of filling in sponsor cards, counting cash, following up cash from sponsors, and they do not have to contact each sponsor individually. • Fundraisers can select the length of time their fundraising page stays active, so that sponsors can still make a donation and raise extra funds even when the event is over. • MyCharity.ie do all the work, making it easy to set up a fundraising page, sponsor a friend or simply access information. The website is very user friendly. Most, if not all, of the feedback we have received from MyCharity users has been very positive. As one of our volunteers said, “MyCharity means very little ‘work’ on my behalf,” and this probably best illustrates the benefits offered. Maria Hughes Fundraising Manager |
